John is the founder and CEO of CareClock, leading the company’s vision to build personal emergency solutions to a variety of consumers including seniors, teachers and students. He is also an an active early-stage investor, with several of his portfolio companies recently selling to Google, Microsoft, Yahoo!, Symantec and others. He serves on the Board of Directors of Equifax, and is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to founding CareClock, John worked in senior executive roles at large corporations and as a successful entrepreneur and investor. Most recently, he served as Chief Technology Officer for News Corporation and President of Technology for News Corp. Digital Media Group. He served as Chief Technology Officer and President of Digital Services for AOL, and previously was EVP and Head of Global Technology and Services for Merrill Lynch. Earlier in his career, McKinley was both CTO and CIO at GE Capital.

Amit has extensive experience in developing both consumer and enterprise software, having managed some of the Internet’s most powerful brands such as ICQ, Netscape Security Solutions, and Winamp. He is the former President of Badoo. He also served as GM of AOL’s Digital Media Services and was responsible for AOL’s Music services, MUSICNET@AOL, and AOL Music Now. Amit has a unique ability to address complex business and technology issues. He continues to serve as a senior advisor to early-stage companies based in Israel, Europe and the USA.

Miko Borys is the Lead Systems Architect at CareClock, where he designs and develops software and hardware monitoring solutions. Miko is an expert in many facets of web technology, having successfully developed and published mobile apps, web apps and browser extensions. Miko is no stranger to alerting and notification systems. He developed an application at Virginia Tech for notifying students of class openings, then went on to co-found Hotel Room Alerts, LLC. — a service that notifies users of hotel room openings.

Chris Williams is the VP of Product Engineering at CareClock, where he leads the development of product and technology. He is the co-organizer of JSConf US, RobotsConf, and many other technology focused events. He is the author of the node-serialport, originator of the JS Community Logo, and assists in the creation of amazing tech events like NodeBots and NodeCopter, among others. He is proud to say that his code has been presented before the President of the United States and has been the foundation for many amazing open source projects. His goal is to make otherwise complex technology accessible to as broad a community as possible. He holds a Master of Computer Science and Applications from Virginia Tech, and is constantly inspired by his wife and two amazing children.

Joel is a unique combination of talents. He is a great hardware designer, and also is able to roll up his sleeves and code with the best of them. His passion for hardware and support of the hacker community has led for his establisment of Makedeck.com, when he offers unique IoT components for engineers interested in making their own connected devices.

Vitaly is a talented developer with a wide range of hands-on experience in areas like Fintech, telecommunications, and mobile app development. He has worked for great organizations like Bloomberg, as well as founded his own mobile app development company, Six Carrots Software. His technical skills allow him to be an incredibly versatile cloud and mobile developer. Vitaly is a graduate of the Saint Petersburg University of Telecommunications.
